Patient Terrier Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard located in the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California. The vineyard produces premium Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The property consists of 24 acres of vines: twelve acres of Pinot Noir, ten of Chardonnay and two of Sauvignon Blanc. The goal is to produce the finest wine grapes possible while remaining good stewards of the land and the wildlife nearby. Farming practices strive to maintain the proper balance between vine growth and fruit development, all with the goal of picking at the optimal time of ripeness. All harvesting of the grapes used in Patient Terrier wines is done by hand, in the traditional manner, so as to best preserve fruit quality until the moment before it’s processed into wine. Harry, the current Patient Terrier can often be seen in the vineyards with owner Greg Conklin.
