Greg Adams


I have an intimate relationship with the vineyards I manage,” says Greg, “Working daily with the fruit that I make into wine creates a unique opportunity for me to translate the vitality I taste from each vine into the bottle.
Greg is a fourth generation California native who was born in San Francisco and in 1977 moved to Sonoma County. During his undergraduate years at Cal Poly, Greg converted an open pasture into one of the school's first production vineyards.
This project introduced him to the idea of a career in wine. For Greg, this path combined several of his passions; his love of the outdoors, agricultural engineering and enjoying food and wine with friends. Upon finishing his studies at Cal Poly, he set his sights on the UC Davis Viticulture and Enology Program. In 1992 he left UC Davis with a Master's Degree in viticulture with concurrent studies in Enology.
Greg has had an impressive career as a viticulturist, including several years developing vineyards and conducting research in the Mendoza region of Argentina. He has also worked on vineyard development and management for Napa giant Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and Sonoma Coast pioneer Flowers Vineyards and Winery. For the last 15 years Greg has run his own consulting business and is proud to have an outstanding list of winery and vineyard clients.
