Called to the San Francisco Bay Area after attending Michigan State University’s School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Christopher fell in love with all things northern California. His career began with the California Café Restaurant Group in the Silicon Valley. He went on to manage restaurants and operations with Marriott hotels, and in 2007, Christopher transitioned into the wine world. Working with iconic brands such as Cakebread Cellars, Jordan Vineyards and Winery, and Schramsberg Vineyards, he found himself drawn to wine sales and education.
While working at Jordan, Christopher met our Director of Marketing and Guest Services, Claire Smith and by the end of 2022, he enthusiastically responded to Claire’s call to get Gregory James Wines out there to restaurants and hotels.
For 20 plus years, Christopher has lived in Sonoma County with his family. They are avid globe trotters, often exploring wine regions all over Europe. Locally, he can be found at Goat Rock on the Sonoma coast, in the high Sierra or cooking great meals at home with his wife and daughter.
