After moving to California in the 80’s I found my way to a dream job at legendary San Francisco concert promotor Bill Graham Presents, where I was the operations manager for the nightclub division. After the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake damaged the Fillmore, I was put in charge of the project to seismically retrofit and reopen the legendary concert hall. This work took 3 years to complete and eventually led to me becoming the house manager at this shrine to music. As nights turned to days it became obvious to me that I needed to change course and enjoy time with my family.
In 2000 I had the opportunity to work with the premier medium size importer & distributor of fine wines in California, Chambers & Chambers Wine Merchants. After running logistics for two years, I was hired as the North Bay Sales Representative covering Sonoma, Mendocino & Humboldt counties. In my 21 years in this position, I was the #1 sales rep in dollars numerous times as well as earning the coveted sales person of the year three times including my final year in 2021. In January of 2022, I decided it was time to throw in the corkscrew and retire.
My relationships with the local wine industry including winemakers, restauranteurs & retailers have exposed me to the best in Sonoma County. After a year of living the life of leisure I decided to ease back into the work force and took the position of Wine Specialist at Gregory James Wines in 2023. I look forward to hosting clients in Dry Creek Valley and answering any questions about Gregory James Wines and our surrounding community, be it attractions, wineries, or restaurants, I am here to help you enjoy all our fabulous county has to offer.
